NECC's Solution

NECC provides access to a variety of credit protected standard and non standard physical transactions.  Basically, NECC operates as a market neutral "riskless principal" wherein it enters matching positions with different counterparties from forward contract through delivery and settlement for both gas and power.  Entities that sign up with NECC therefore have instantaneous access to many bids and offers submitted by NECC's network of customers.  As a single counterparty, NECC consolidates collateral that may otherwise be required in multiple bilateral transactions with different counterparties separately for power and gas and through the delivery cycle.  

NECC's solution thus offers significant collateral 'netting' opportunities as well as transactional simplicity with credit protection.
