NOCC Management

The NOCC leadership team has extensive high-level experience in both energy and financial markets. Our diverse range of experience is derived from a background of management at traditional commodity exchanges, such as the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange-as well as leading energy and power trading companies, and energy consulting firms. In all, NOCC's management has over 200 years of collective energy and financial markets experience, with most having collaborated with each other before joining forces at NOCC. Brief biographies of key management team members are included below.

GEORGE SLADOJE,  CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

For the past thirty years Mr. Sladoje has been a senior executive at some of the country's major trading institutions which involved, not only transactions in electricity, but in equities, futures and options as well. Prior to the launching of NOCC, Mr. Sladoje's most recent position was as President and CEO of the California Power Exchange where he directed the start-up of this first of its kind enterprise. Positions formerly held by Mr. Sladoje prior to arriving in California in 1997 include: Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Chicago Stock Exchange and its Clearing and Trust subsidiaries and Executive Vice President of the Chicago Board of Trade where he directed the exchange's Operations and its Financial and Administrative functions as well. Prior to his trading experiences, Mr. Sladoje served in various financial roles including seven years with a Big 8 public accounting firm.

JOHN FLORY, SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR - STRATEGIC PLANNING

Prior to co-founding NOCC with George Sladoje, Mr. Flory was the founder and President of eNMART Corporation which was formed early in 2001 and was instrumental in assisting businesses and state governmental entities in responding to the post-California and post-Enron energy situation. He had previously served as Vice President of Strategic Planning for the California Power Exchange, and was key to the formation of spot markets as well as first of their kind physical exchange-based forward markets for electricity. Prior to joining the Power Exchange, Mr. Flory was a principal at Tabors, Caramanis & Associates ("TCA") where he assisted in helping US businesses and utilities plan for spot pricing and industry restructuring, based on TCA's experience in the early restructuring and privatization of electricity markets in other countries.

MICHAEL KANE, SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR - OPERATIONS

Mr. Kane has held numerous positions in exchange and trading floor operations including Trading Floor Manager for Member Clearing Firms of both the CME and CBOT. At the exchange level positions included involvement in compliance as well as electronic trading at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and Senior Director of Operations for the California Power Exchange.

SETH WILSON, SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR - RISK

Mr. Wilson is in change of NOCC's risk area, which encompasses both credit and market risk. He oversees the entity's margining and credit policies and adapts these techniques to all types of transactions that NOCC handles. He formerly held such positions as Director, Economic Analysis at the California Power Exchange, Managing Director, Analytical Services at Cinergy Resources, Gas Trader at Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company and Energy Acquisition Analyst at Memphis Light, Gas and Water.
