Dr. Shirmohammadi is responsible for developing technology and power scheduling
solutions for NECC. In that role he interfaces with the ISOs and the RTOs as well
as other power companies with whom NECC interfaces. He is also responsible for developing
in-house technology solutions and working with outside technology vendors for NECC.
Dariush's 30-year tenure in the electric power industry has been mainly focused
on technical leadership positions. These include the Director of Regional Transmission
Department with the California ISO, Senior Vice President and Head of Americas Energy
Markets with the OM Group, Managing Consultant with PA Consulting Group, Director
of Emerging Energy Market Services with Perot Systems Corporation, Director of Energy
Systems Automation Group with Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Dr. Shirmohammadi
has authored and co-authored numerous technical papers and has lectured in academic,
industrial and regulatory forums around the world. Dariush has a Ph.D. in Electric
Power Engineering and is a registered professional engineer. He is also a fellow
of IEEE.
